Secretts, Milford
Mosaic has prepared a Vision Document for Secretts, a new, integrated neighbourhood at Hurst Farm, Milford. The site has been successfully allocated in the Local Plan and submitted for planning. Secretts is a mixed-use community of up to 200 homes centred around an ethos of sustainable food production and education. Secretts strives to be a valuable addition to the village with the Secrett family wishing to create a legacy that provides real community benefits including additional jobs and new homes for downsizers, retirees and first time buyers.
The Vision Document sets out the vision for the site, the principles of development and the identification of the benefits developing at this location.
The Opportunity
Secretts could deliver approximately 200 new homes and significant new employment opportunities as a new integrated neighbourhood for the village of Milford. The benefits for bringing forward Secretts are principally four-fold:
- Expansion and evolution of the farm shop business to create new jobs for the village
- Provision of much needed new homes in the village for downsizers, retirees and first time buyers on land developed previously
- Creation of new employment space and jobs for the village
- Provision of new community facilities currently missing or inadequate within the village
